Users who leverage the below listed objects in their firewall policy or reference the networks in their own infrastructure.
Following up on the October 2019 retirement of the UCBVPN service (Cisco AnyConnect) the networks previously used by that service are being returned to the available pool.
This is being done due to the limited availability of IPv4 address space for the UC Berkeley networks and ongoing demand by customers for new allocations.
Timeline: July 1st 2020 - The network objects listed below will be renamed and readdressed so as to no longer reference the legacy VPN networks.
Network Services recommend people who manage their own firewalls and network controls remove the networks from their rules if they are allowed based on the assumption that they are authenticated VPN users.
August 3rd 2020 - The networks will be returned to the available pool for future reuse. Due to the way IPv4 addresses are allocated we do not know when they will be back in active use.
